David Frenkel

If there is an exact science to working in the legal profession, who would know better than David who graduated with an honours Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Windsor?

But it’s not all Bunsen burners, beakers and biodiversity for this self-professed globetrotter. In fact, his sense of adventure and wanderlust have pushed him to skydive high above Interlaken, hike through some of Europe’s most majestic cities and brave the Salkantay trekking route overlooking the Andean peaks in Peru.
In 2007, in between all that jet-setting, David found enough time to obtain his law degree, also from the University of Windsor.

Giving back to the community is important to David, so he makes sure to carve out some time to share his legal knowledge with community and provincial agencies offering family assistance where it is needed most. David has been a guest speaker at various women’s shelters and centres in the Greater Toronto Area, volunteered for the Jewish Family and Child and presented for the Mandatory Information Program at the Superior Court of Justice, Family Law Division.

In addition, David has published articles in the Canadian Family Law Quarterly, The Lawyer’s Daily and The Lawyers Weekly. In 2016, David was also a speaker at the10th Annual Family Law Summit where he presented A Checklist and Guide to Joint Family Ventures for Common Law Spouses.

When David is not talking, drafting documents or falling precipitously from the sky, he enjoys running and playing the piano as well as spending quality time with his family endeavouring to keep his little one out of as much mischief as possible (work in progress).

Around the office, David has a reputation for being diligent, hard-working and a real team player. To his clients, he is caring and empathetic while faithfully defending their rights. Although he prefers to focus on reasonable resolutions in matters of divorce, he is equally skilled at protecting clients during high conflict court cases.
