Paul Hartwell

Law Clerk

Paul was born in England and moved to Canada when he was 10 years old. He still thinks he’s a little Englander which would explain his stubbornness. He obtained his Law Clerk diploma from Georgian College, graduating with honours and participated in several legal focus groups. He has been working strictly in family law for over 7 years and he really enjoys helping people. He likes to think he’s introverted, but we all know he isn’t.

Paul’s father was a police officer when he was younger, and he believes it was because of this that drew him to the legal profession. One of his favourite shows growing up was Law and Order, and would often stay up late watching the show, it was then he knew he wanted to pursue a career in the legal field. Now his favourite show is Goliath, if you haven’t seen it, you should.

Paul is a great listener. His calm demeanor and patient tone make you feel at ease. Paul has been through the divorce process, and it is through this experience that has taught him, one of his most valuable traits, empathy. He takes pride in his work, and enjoys helping people through this most challenging difficult time.

In Paul’s downtime you will often find him spending time with his 4 children, cooking, woodworking, or watching football (soccer).
