Aman Sekhon
Lawyer
Born in Hamilton, Aman earned his Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. He then moved to Houston, Texas, and pursued his Juris Doctorate degree before returning to Ontario and being called to the Bar in 2010. Prior to joining Gelman & Associates, Aman operated his own boutique law firm, focusing on family law and real estate law.
Aman is highly regarded for his ability to encourage open communication and help clients reach effective, amicable resolutions. He also brings substantial courtroom experience, having appeared before both the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. Aman approaches every case with empathy and a hands-on mindset. He is committed to understanding his clients’ individual needs and working diligently to protect their interests.
Aman became the third generation in his family to graduate from law school, following the path set by his father and paternal grandfather. Guided by their example, Aman approached his legal education with a strong sense of purpose and a deep appreciation for the journey he was continuing.
Aman is a proud father of two and plays an active role in his children’s athletic journeys. He coaches his son’s rep basketball team and regularly volunteers with his daughter’s competitive swim team. Aman wears many hats in these roles—mentor, motivator, organizer, and life coach—while keeping parents happy. His energy and enthusiasm shine through at every practice, where he works to create a fun, engaging environment that also encourages growth, improvement, and a genuine love for the sport.
When not practicing law, Aman enjoys watching sports, spending time with family, and exploring new cuisines.
Aman is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Knicks, and Boston Bruins. His favorite cuisines include Italian, Thai, Indian, and anything involving street tacos. When it comes to travel, Aman enjoys relaxing on the beach and has always dreamed of immersing himself in the vibrant cultures and stunning landscapes of both Japan and Thailand.
