Elizabeth understands the stakes that are involved in your family law case which may affect your life and the lives of your children for years to come. She has the experience and compassion to keep things in perspective to get you through complicated procedures with the best possible results. Elizabeth’s passion for family law can be traced all the way back to her teenage years when she volunteered and eventually worked for a boutique family law firm in Brampton. Working as a family law assistant in her teenage years solidified Elizabeth’s decision to pursue family law as a career.

Elizabeth attended law school at the University of Leeds, England, graduating with a First Class law degree at the top 10% of her class. She articled at a family law firm and has exclusively practiced family law ever since. Elizabeth was called to the Bar in January of 2019. Her practice involves all areas of family law such as adoptions, decision making responsibility (formerly known as “custody”), parenting time, child and spousal support, special and extraordinary expenses, income imputation, jurisdictional issues, equalization and other complicated property issues. Elizabeth has also drafted various marriage contracts, domestic agreements and separation agreements. She has represented clients through various out of court settlements such as mediations, arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolutions. Her practice includes advocating for clients on Interjurisdictional support issues involving other provinces in Canada. She is well versed in child protection matters as well. Elizabeth has represented clients at different levels of court such as the Superior Court of Justice as well as the Ontario Court of Justice. She is also empaneled as a Legal Aid Ontario Panel Lawyer.

Elizabeth is committed to helping her clients get through the legal process so they can begin the next chapter of their lives. She is conscientious and will give her clients the attention they need. Elizabeth has an individualized approach to the law which aids in developing a fluid strategy that is tailor made to each clients’ unique circumstances.

Outside of work, Elizabeth can be found enjoying a long hike with her border collie puppy, Winston or teaching him new tricks. She also has a passion for travelling and learning new languages. Elizabeth can speak Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and is currently learning Japanese.
